Bought TXN on the earning report dip
This morning I purchased 50 shares of Texas Instruments (TXN) at $117.9012 on a market order in my Roth IRA account Thanks to Charles Schwab it was commission free! This is a long-term investment for income and income growth which I don’t plan on selling unless there is a disruption in the income stream (dividend cancelled, cut or no dividend increase for two consecutive years), or trimming/adding a some shares for portfolio balancing.
Purchase Info – based on current $3.60 annual dividend payment
– Initial yield: 3.05%
– Annual income: $180 (50 x $3.60)
– 5-Year Dividend Growth Rate: 19.7% (most recent increase was 16.9%)
